Obviously sex inspires. How many songs, poems, books, movies, and TV shows are based on the premise of sex, and love, for that matter? We're a sex-obsessed culture to the point where I find it rather obnoxious. Sex is necessary and wonderful, but there is so much more to life than just the constant pursuit of "getting laid." By the way... good songs ... by nickelback

I think love and sex are a strong inspiration, especially for art and music. Raw sex and lust are one thing, but I find the addition of love much more enticing when I'm looking for some material to draw something with.

Sex is a powerful inspiration, but the type of sex you're having directly changes the inspiration you thence reap. You're not gonna get the same result from lust, love, or just play. But each does bring inspiration of some sort.. So plan for what you want to do afterwards  |

It makes you sleepy, afterwards?*Ducking a thrown battleaxe, rising up again and catching a thrown empty beer bottle at the side of my head, which bounces off with a soft "thmpf". * I wuv my thick fur. 
Anyway, by the term sex, which do you mean?
- The desire/pusruit of sex?
- The act of sex?
- Romantic love sex?
- Pornographic sex?
- Something else?
For me, all of these versions described have effects on me in
different ways at different times and sometimes in combination
with other inspirations/situations.
My poem to Eclipse, one of Silverwolf's fursonas,
was inspired by a need to keep alert and awake during
a 12-hour night shift of work..
Inspiration cannot be forced, IMO.
It must come at its own pace, whether
sudden and instantly, like a flash of lust/infatuation,
slow and rhythmically, like the actions of lovemaking with a comfortable partner,
or when you're in a calm, receptive state, such as afterglow.
But, WHEN you're inspired...act on it. Fast.
While writing this, I'm reminded that I wanted to pen a Haiku
about moonlight on Greymane's naked back while he slept beside me. I didn't doo it and now the memory is tainted with over romanticism.  |
