Well, having found a person that would help me with the story, my old wish about making a furry comic might at this point become a reality.

The concept have changed a little bit from my old idea, but it will be a sexual comics combined with story comics in such a way that every second comic is just about porn and the others wont have any in them.
This decision have been made for 2 main reasons.
1 In porn comics there are usually no real room for story movement.
2 Allot of furries out there don't like porn comics, and would really enjoy a comic with cute hints in them but no porn, and we want to reach them to.

The story line is a a straight line that has small sex comics attached to it, so you can read the storyline and wont really miss anything by not reading the porn.

But this pull is actually to find out how i should post it online.
If i should post them as i get em done on my FA page, this would make it so people wouldn't have to wait to see the pages.
Or should i get my own web page for them, and then just post the frontpage on FA to let people know its online?  This would help my FA page to not get over flooded with comic pages.

Well i will appreciate your opinions on this.. And here is a picture to show the 4 main characters in the comic.. And to show the quality id like to aim for.

Although a site of your own would be more appealing to the reader, it is very hard to get your site known with only a few posts on FA. Also in sites like "The Webcomic List" it'd take ages for your comic to get a high enough rating (nothing personal, just always does :p) for it to get high enough on the ranking so people scroll past it.

But on FA, there's alot more chance someone would check out a comic if it's in the "newest" section, which will be every time you update so alot more often then the notice posts in your profile.

Maybe post on Yiffstar to, there's non-yiff stuff on there.

Hope it was helpful advice  c_smile2

Well i can see your point and it has actually made my decision harder..

Since on other forums i have been told that i should post it on my FA page due 2 to main things

1 aparently furries hate to wait for anything.. it can actually turn a person who loves your artwork into a ungrateful brat who just screams UPDATE.

2 it would look extremly unproffesional if it where to be posted on gallery sites..

My idea had been that i would post the frontpage, some sketches and other stuff on FA and yiffstar, and provide with a link to the site.

And heck who are we kidding we know the stuff will end up on Fchan, E621 and what else the furry image boards are called, within 14 days of me posting it.

True. Very true.

By avoiding Yiffstar, you can hold the fchaners back about another week.

Your own site is going to be your best bet, with mirrors posted to FA. dA is a bit out of the question - the whole no-porn policy there.

How about both? If someone then sees it on FA they'll head to the site since that usually has an easier archive

I typically dont care for reading comics on FA. I find it a pain to go back into that persons gallery and find the first page to catch up to their newest. Though I have seen a couple artist use an alt account for their comics only.

DA allows you to make folders for your work, but my experience with DA has been unless you are gods gift to art, you dont get noticed.

I think your idea of posting sketches and providing links to your own page is best. The artist rftigermode does that same thing. Sometimes he will use an amusing panel from that particular comic to get you to click the link for it.

Also Im pretty sure Dragoneer might let you advertise on FA. I found a couple interesting comics clicking the adverts on the front page.
