Back Ground ~ the years is 4825 AD and military technology has grown almost exponentially. the worlds have formed together to make various large groups. the N.A.U.M.F. (North America's United Military Force), the E.U.F. (European Union Forces), the R.A.C.C.A.C. (Russia's And China's Combined Asia Confederacy) and the S.A.A.P.I.C. (South America and Pacific Islands Coalition). the fifth great war started when various bombings happened all over the world and the groups began to point fingers at each other. Africa is all but a battle filed wasteland and Australia is rumored to have gone underground and is forming its own army from salvaged technology from the battle fighting above ground.
Story Time
the sound of artillery exploding could be heard as N.A.U.M.F. forces tried to push back a S.A.A.P.I.C. invasion, hoping ot regain mexico like they had fifty years earlier. Ring was in his mech and he was kneeling behind a rock out cropping, every now and then he'd pop up long enough to let loose a few blasts with his plasma battle riffle. "Can someone help, im sorta pinned down here!!!" ring shouts into the mech's communication link as he felt the rock behind him slowly get blown away.

Joseph felt the servo's in the Walker's legs grind and whine as he maneuvered the behemoth around an outcropping of rock. The 30mm Vulcan began to spin up, attached to it's right 'shoulder', and began to produce a Cicada-like whirring noise. Joe had come to love the noise, as it meant that he was primed for combat. With his left he maneuvered the incredibly natraul arm, if only it wasn't blocky and powered by electric servo's, and gripped the rock with the three fingered 'claw'. The 'Ape', as it was affectionately called, was an outdated, and butt-ugly machine, but it got it's job done with crude violence. The right arm, controlled by a Gyro through which Joe stuck his arm through to grab the rifle-like handle on the other side (It was the same for both arms) pulled a large recoil-less cannon from the back rack of the Machine. Here he waited until another Battle walker came by on the ridge above. Locking the Ape's arms, Joe pulled a book, I, Sniper from a compartment beside the footpedals of the large glass cockpit of the vehicle, and began to read already on the seventh chapter, occasionally looking up from the black text. Finally, after half an hour, another Mech appeared on the ridge. Joseph steadied the Recoil-less rifle, more like a reduced recoil tank cannon, and fired, ripping the other mech in half, and sending the Cockpit 'torso' of the thing flying and crushing the pilot inside as it landed. Joe began to carefully backtrack his path in search of another sniper's hide.

The Sarge moved his mech into position. His government had invested a lot of funds into his mech and he was made sure that he could take down any foe that came for him. But for now he had to save that poor fool hiding behind a rock. All that was left was the enemy. Within moments he had found it. A bulky mech, built in haste during the beginning of the war. "Die." With deadly accuracy, he let loose a volley of fire. Filling the enemy mech with holes and killing the pilot instantly.

ring got his mech up and he looked around, when he saw sarge he made the mech do a quick salute before he began to check the area for any more enemies. "thanks sarge, i owe you another one." he says over the com as he began to run a system analysis.

Joseph moved the footpedals of the 'Ape' as if he were walking inside the Mech, and his movements were manifested outside as those of the Mech's multi-jointed legs, and looked down to see the three-toed feet splayed out on the rock, automatically gripping the ground. Joe remembered when he had first seen the lumbering beast of a war machine, years ago, and insisted on calling it the M8, it's designation. He laughed a little, as he shoved another shell into the back of the Recoil-less rifles barrel, the swung the blast chamber into place. He aimed at the Depot he had been watching for at least an hour, and prepared to fire, but was interrupted by a burst of plasma fire, the superheated gas scorching his armor, and causing him to wince at his Mech's damaged arm. He slung the cannon, and used two STOL packs attached to joints on the Mech, informally known as a Marauder in his outfit, to make a short vertical jump out of the line of fire, pulling the Recoil-less again, and putting one of the Armor-defeat rounds through the other mech's pilot, and turning what was left into a smoldering wreckage. Now, left to his own devices, he could dismantle the Depot at his liesure, brick by brick.

Joe began to spin up the Vulcan on the suit's shoulder, until it made it's characteristic whine. He tapped the trigger, and the whine became a roar as the cannon began to put out 3,000 rounds of 30mm HE rounds per minute from it's rotating barrel's to the Depot, causing explosions as the explosive rounds impacted the fuel and ammunition inside. Eventually, one of the round's hit a plasma canister, one of the newer weapons in the inventory of the world, and the depot erupted into a methane explosion as the superheated gas was released. Joseph felt the 'Ape's 4-ton armored body lift off it's feet, and drop from five feet with a bone jarring, JATO-unassisted landing. He looked at the smoldering building through the Bullet-Proof glass windscreen, and smiled at his symphony of destruction.

Joe felt the Marauder's left arm go limp, and heard the patter of lead on the Mech's titanium alloy chassis. Looking over at the arm, he saw hydraulic fluid pouring from a pressurized hose, like blood from a severed vein. Taking cover behind a cliff, he took the Recoilless, and readied himself and his nearly crippled Marauder for what might happen next.

The Sarge motioned Ring over. Making the hand signals that were mimicked by his mech's arms. "I see two...three enemy mechs at the base." His hand went to his eyes and he threw out three fingers and pointed at the base. "I'm going to go forward while you flank." He made a motion with his hand indicating which direction Ring should go in. "Got it?" He put up the OK? sign.

Joe waited behind the outcropping, not sure how accurate this shot would be, with one of the 'Ape's arms out of commission. He struggled with the controls to make the Recoilless rifle steady, as a stream of foot-soldiers came around the corner. He fired the rifle, the artillery-shell like round literally slitting the air begind it, creating a searing vacuum, ripping the men to bloody pieces, and it passed through several of their bodies, causing them to blow apart, then come back together into a storm of grit and gore. It finally detonated twenty feet behind the men, their bodies not quite hard enough to trigger the impact-detonated mechanism. He re-slung the rifle and spun up the Vulcan again as more men came from around the corner, and he pressed the trigger, and for a minute things seemed to go in his favor. Click. He heard the Vulcan's striker hit air. Retreating farther back, Joseph popped the hatch, the glass canopy pivoting upward, and clambered down and began to sprint from the now well and truly crippled war machine.

The Sarge spoke into the mic. "Ok, GO GO" He bounded out of cover with his mech, the mini-gun attached to the bottom of his cockpit spinning hundreds on rounds into the base and it's occupants. On each shoulder sat a two missile launchers. Those went off as well and hit three mechs that were firing on another position.

ring darted out and began to fire three shot burts from his rifle as his shoulder missle launcher fired its volley of plasma misseles at a target area which took down two mechs and crippled a third.
